The Legend Of Zelda: The Triforce War
"Some time ago, before the King of Hyrule unified this country, there was a fierce war in our world."
- MMORPG that takes place in Hyrule's past, when the Triforce was JUST discovered and the tribes are fighting over it
- Players choose a character from one of the tribes and helps to shape the future of Hyrule
The Triforce War takes place far at the beginning of the history of Hyrule, when the people lived as separate tribes and the rumors of the wish-granting Triforce has driven them to civil war in order to claim it for their own. In this MMORPG, players create a character based on any of the tribes of Hyrule. The player's goal is to explore the wild, yet-to-be-civilized realm of Hyrule and try to locate the Triforce first for their tribe. Players may band together with people of other races in "Alliances" in order to defeat tougher monsters.
Game Mechanics
The Triforce War is an MMORPG for computers only (Nintendo wouldn't give its rights to Xbox and Playstation) and functions basically like any other MMO. Players navigate a a free-roaming open world while completing big tasks in small increments to progress their personal storyline. The more monsters they defeat, the more experience they gain, and gaining a certain number of experience points allows the character to gain a level. The higher the level a player is, the more abilities they learn which makes monsters easier to defeat. Players view their character from a third-person perspective and use hot keys and mouse clicks to target and attack their enemies.
When a player dies, they wake up at the nearest Fairy Fountain. They do not receive any penalties for dying aside from being relocated. However, if they have a bottled fairy, they can be revived immediately after their health hits zero like Link does in the game.
Players can also choose to respawn at Gossip Stones instead. This will prevent them from being fully recovered upon revival, but there are more Gossip Stones around Hyrule than Fairy Fountains.

Monsters and Bosses
Monsters in the Triforce War roam freely along the map and will attack anyone who gets in their way; players can check to see if the monster in question is too tough for them by eyeing the color of their name that hovers overhead.
If the Monster is 5 levels or higher than them, its name is colored red and will most definitely kill the player.
If the Monster is 2 - 4 levels higher than the player, its name is colored yellow and the player will have a fighting chance against it.
If the Monster is 1 level higher or lower level than the player, its name is colored green and it will be easy to defeat.
There are wandering Boss monsters that stalk the map and the dungeons littered throughout Hyrule whose names are colored Purple, and must be taken on by two or more players. The Boss's difficulty adjusts depending on how many players are engaging in battle with it.

Deku Scrubs
Deku Scrubs are a race of plant people who use long-ranged attacks by shooting Deku Nuts out of their mouths. They also are the only race that can travel via jump flowers, which allows them to leap into the air and glide to hard-to-reach areas. They take on the "ranger" role.
Deku Scrubs' personalities can range from friendly to easily irritated. The tribe wants the Triforce so that their people are no longer seen as second-class citizens by the rest of the tribes of Hyrule. Players can customize their character by choosing the type and color of sprout on his/her head and the color of his/her leaves.

Gerudo
This race specializes in combat and thievery. and as a result make for very agile fighters. They possess a very war-like ethos, valuing the strong over the weak and opposing the "decadent" lifestyle of Hylians. They want to obtain the Triforce so that they can conquer Hyrule and convert them to their beliefs.
They are dark-skinned females with bright red hair, but players can change the outfits and hair styles when it comes to customization. Players can only choose a female Gerudo character, since male Gerudo are rarely born. They fight with scimitars and glaives and take on the "agile damage dealer" role.

The Gorons
The Gorons are the most physically powerful creatures in all of Hyrule. They are slow on their feet, but can pick up great speeds if they tuck themselves into a tight ball. Gorons are normally weary of other races, but can be very friendly once someone earns their trust. They are a proud race who dig deep into mountains with ease in search of tasty rocks. They want the Triforce so that they can boast their superiority over other tribes.
Gorons generally look the same, but players can choose their hairstyle, facial hair, and the patterns on their backs in character customization. Players can only choose male Gorons, since female Gorons are rarely seen (or at least identified) and so it is assumed they do not leave their home often. Gorons fight with their fists much like a martial artist would and take on the "tank" role.

Kokiri
The Kokiri are an enchanted race of forest spirits that look like young children, although they are actually ageless. They are a shy, pure-hearted race who love and serve their "father", the Great Deku Tree. They want the Triforce so that they can keep it safe from the other tribes and stop this senseless fighting.
Normally, Kokiri are forbidden from leaving the safety of the Kokiri Forest because it is said they will die if they do. However, for this game, Kokiri who are granted magic powers of the earth are able to depart to do the Deku Tree's bidding. This means that players are able to manipulate the earth like a geomancer would, but also use herbs to heal themselves and others. They also fight with slingshots and bows and take on the "healer/support" role.
Although all Kokiri are light-haired and wear green, players may choose from a set of hair colors and styles, eye colors, and their style of clothing.

Zora
The Zora people fight with their blade-like fins on their arms, and can even send these fins shooting off like boomerangs that come right back. They are the only race that can dive deep underwater and they swim the fastest. They take on the "hard-hitting damage dealer" role.
The Zora are an aquatic people who are faithful to their deities. They are very loyal to those that help them, but are a bit stuck-up when it comes to complete strangers, especially those of a different race. The Zora want the Triforce because they feel possessing it will put their tribe in favor with the gods. Zora characters can have their markings and their fins customized by the player.

Hylian
Hylians were born with magic-infused blood, which gives them psychic powers and skills in wizardry. It is also believed that the Hylians' pointed ears allow them to hear the messages of the gods, and so they are seen as the race favored by the gods. They are the most "human" of the races in Hyrule, with no single-mind philosophy amongst many of them. Hylians are split between the decision to use the Triforce to unite Hyrule's tribes or simply conquer it.
Hylian characters have the most options for customization -- eye color, hair color, hair style, and clothing, and come in two types: a sage who fights with staves and a knight who fights with swords. A knight cannot use any magic, and a sage's physical attacks are the weakest in the game.
