The Realm Of Hyrule: Ocarina Of Time -- Hyrule Field Adventure
In the future, the Realm of Hyrule will offer the ability to slay monsters in Hyrule Field for an additional fee that covers the renting cost of special equipment.
This special equipment allows guests to encounter monsters on the field of Hyrule and defeat them for points. Points are turned in at the end of the day by the park exit for special prizes!
Note: The monsters only appear in Hyrule Field, nowhere else in the park.
The Equipment
Guests receive a special belt and gloves for the Hyrule Field Adventure. The Belt contains a sensor that triggers the appearance of a monster when a guest walks close to an underground marker in Hyrule Field. The gloves reach halfway down the forearm and, once battle mode is triggered, materializes a holographic sword in one hand and shield in the other. These are the only items that can harm a holographic monster. If the monster attacks the player, it triggers a "rumblepack" feature in the belt and gloves so the player feels when they are hit.
Enemies & Points
The enemies you can face include stalchidren, poes, deku babas, bomskits, and many more! Each enemy can be defeated in a certain number of swings of a sword. When the sword makes contact with an enemy, it reacts like one would when placing two same-sides of a magnet together and repels off to give it the illusion of a solid form.
Enemies will always spawn when you walk by a hidden sensor in Hyrule Field, however if you want to stop adventuring you can hit the "Off" Button on your belt so that you don't get attacked. Enemies will pick a certain guest to attack and only target them, however they can be attacked by somebody else. The person they target, however, is the only one who can deliver the final blow and get the points. (This prevents people stealing each other's kills!)
If you don't want to fight a particular monster, you can just walk away from it. Monsters can only follow you so far before they reach the range limit of the sensor they spawned from and disappear.
Points are kept track of by a little counter on the belt. Each monster is worth a certain number of points.
